Mumbai city along with its suburban outskirts is experiencing heavy rain for the last 48 hours. Incessant and heavy rainfall lashed the city yesterday flooding low lying areas including Hindmata Chowk, Reay Road and parts of Lower Parel causing traffic jams in some areas. The District Disaster Control has said that atleast four separate cases of drowning have been reported from various parts of the Thane district. According to the forecast of the MET department for the next 12 hours, heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places in the districts of Greater Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.
