In Uttarakhand, normal life has been affected due to heavy rain in the state. Rishikesh Badrinath National highway and other circuit roads in the state have been blocked due to landslide triggered by heavy rain. <br/><br/>Major rivers of the state are in spate. AIR correspondent reports that the Rishikesh Badrinath National highway is still blocked at Lambagad due to landslide. <br/><br/>BRO personals have been pressed into service to clear the debris. Besides this, many circuit roads connecting villages in hilly areas have been also disrupted due to heavy rain and landslide. As many as 173 interior motrable roads of hilly villages have been blocked in the state. <br/><br/>Major rivers and rivulets were swollen following heavy rain in their catchment area. Meanwhile, in Dehradun one person and 16 livestock lost their lives due to heavy rain. People had to face difficulties due to water logging and traffic jam in several areas. <br/><br/>The Weather department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarakhand in next 12 hours. All the district administrations have been asked to remain alert in view of weather warning.
