Heavy rain affects normal life in UP

In UP, normal life has been affected due to heavy rain in several parts of the state. Rain has caused waterlogging in rural and urban areas. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that river Ganga has again started swelling in Ghazipur and Ballia. Heavy rain in the catchment areas of Ganga, Ramganga and Yamuna has caused swelling of these rivers. The river Ganga has again crossed the danger level in Ballia while its level is rising in Ghazipur. Three to five centimetres of rainfall has occurred at many places in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Bareilly and Agra divisions. The sky is overcast and the met office has predicted light to heavy rainfall at isolated places during next 24 hours.
