In the United States, crowds have flocked to waterfronts and swimming pools on the country's east coast and mid-west to cope with a massive heatwave that has killed at least 22 people this week. The National Weather Service issued excessive heat warnings for wide areas of the central and eastern parts of the country, saying the combined heat and humidity could push the real feel temperature to 46 degrees Celsius today. According to a weather report, on Thursday afternoon in New York City, the temperature hit 33 degrees, but it felt more like 44 degrees.
