Heatwave continues to sweep different parts across India

Heat wave continues to affect normal life in various parts of the country. Mercury soared in Delhi today with minimum temperature settling at 29.8 degrees Celsius, eight notches above normal. It was a hot and cloudy morning with weatherman forecasting partly cloudy sky for the day. There is a likelihood of dust storm or thunderstorm occurring in the evening or night. Maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.<br/><br/>The maximum temperature yesterday reached 44 degrees Celsius while minimum settled at 28.4 degrees Celsius.<br/><br/>Uttar Pradesh is under blistering hot weather conditions as day mercury zoomed to season's highest and above 45degree Celsius in Banda and Allahabad during last twenty four hours. Scorching heat in April month is also unusual for the state. Other districts like Jhansi, Varanasi and Churk also recorded about 44 degree celsius maximum temperatures yesterday.<br/><br/>In Telangana , all ten districts have been reeling under severe heat wave triggered by rise in temperatures. A maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius, which is the highest in April in last 10 years in Telangana was recorded at Ramagundam, Adilabad and Nizamabad yesterday. The Met department has warned of high temperatures and heat wave for the next 48hours. The officials said, temperatures will be two to four degrees more than the normal in several places even today.<br/>Meanwhile, a committee under the chairmanship of government chief secretary has been set up to monitor heat wave situation and to save people from sun stroke.
