Severe heat wave continues to sweep entire Odisha, throwing life out of gear in the state.At least 41 persons are said to have died so far due to sunstroke, but the State Government has confirmed only two deaths. The mercury soared to a new high with Titilagarah recording the maximum 46.5 degrees Celsius. In most other areas average temperature was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius. The Bhubaneswar Met office says heat wave situation was likely to continue for next two days.Due to continued heat wave conditions, people of Odisha, particularly in the interior areas covering western parts of the state, are experiencing harrowing times with the situation being precipitated by frequent power cuts and scarcity of drinking water.
