Heat wave conditions have further intensified in Northern, Western and Central parts of the country. The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 49.2 degrees in Morena in Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal recorded its highest temperature in 63 years at 46 degrees. <br/>In Nagpur the mercury settled at 47.3 degree celsius while in Brahmapuri and Wardha, the temperature was 47.7 and 47.5 degrees respectively. Punjab and Haryana too experienced scorching heat with Hisar sizzling at a high of 47.4 degrees, six degrees above normal. In Punjab, Ludhiana was the hottest at 45.2 degrees celsius. The mercury in Chandigarh was six degrees above the normal at 43.6 degree celsius.<br/>In Gujarat, Idar recorded a high of 45.2 degrees while the Ahmedabad sizzled at 44.9 degree celsius.<br/>Kota was the hottest region in Rajasthan at 48.2 degrees followed by Sriganganagar at 48.1 degrees. The mercury crossed the 47 degree mark in Churu and Bikaner. <br/>The national capital too experienced a hot day with the maximum temperature settling at 43.4 degrees, three degrees above the normal.<br/>
