Northern India in the grip of severe heat wave. In Uttar Pradesh, the temperature crossed forty five degrees Celsius mark at many places on Wednesday. The met office has predicted further rise of one to three degrees in southern and central UP in next 48 hours.
The weather is mainly dry in the entire state. The underground water stratum has already gone down and ponds have dried up in central and Bundelkhand region.
AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting agricultural experts say that pre-monsoon rain is awaited for Kharif crops preparation. They say that the cultivation cost will rise if rain does not occur within a week. Normal monsoon hits the state around 15th of June.
It was yet another hot and humid day for the People in the National Capital Delhi as temperatures settled at above normal levels on Wednesday.
The maximum temperature was on Wednesday recorded at 45 degree celsius, five notches above normal while the minimum temperature settled at 25.2 degree celcius, one degree above normal.
The maximum and minimum humidity was recorded at 42 and 12 per cent.
According to the Met department, the city will have a clear sky in the next 24 hours.
The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 29 and 45 degrees for Thursday.
The weatherman has predicted that rising temperatures and blistering heat wave are likely to continue unabated, thus giving no respite to citizens in the coming days.
Heatwave is affecting northern and southern parts of Rajasthan. On Wednesday mercury crossed 47 degree celcius at Sri Ganganagar and Churu.
Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state where maximum temperature was recorded 47.4 degree Celsius. Temperatures are ranging between 42 to 46 degree celcius in the state.
Normal life is being affected due to severe heat wave in Bikaner ,Kota and Jodhpur divisions.
On Wednesday the maximum temp was recorded 47.2 degree in Churu,It was above 46 degree at Bikaner and above 45 degree Celsius at Kota,Barmer, and Jaisalmer.
In the capital Jaipur also temperature is continuously increasing and today it was recorded 44.2 degree Celsius.
According to met office heat wave condition will continue in next 24 hours also at most of the places.
Despite of severe heat number of tourists has increased in Ranthambhor Tiger sanctuary.
According to officials of the sanctuary 20% more tourists visited Ranthambhor this month.
