North and North-Western parts of the country remain in the grip of heat wave conditions. Temperatures at most parts in the region are in the range of 3 to 6 degree Celsius above normal. <br/><br/>Met department has forecast that heat wave conditions will prevail at most places in Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Gujarat, Vidharbha and East Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Central Maharashtra and at isolated places over Chhattisgarh during next 3 to 4 days. <br/><br/>Thunderstorm accompanied with thundersquall and hail are likely at isolated places over East Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya during next 24 hours. Thunderstorm accompanied with thundersquall and hail are expected at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next three days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolate places over Andaman islands during next 24 hours. <br/><br/>Delhi today recorded maximum temperature 40.5 degree celsius which was three degree above normal, while the minimum with 22 degree celsius was 1 degree above normal. In some parts of the city temperature breached 42 degree celsius mark. The weatherman has predicted clear skies for tomorrow with maximum temperature around 41 degrees Celsius and minimum 21 degree.
