Some districts of Maharashtra are reeling under the severe heat wave condition. Akola tops the list of such places with 47 degree celsius followed by Nagpur, Jalgoan and Parbhani where the temperature reached to 46 degree Celsius. Mumbai and Panjim comparatively are experiencing less intensity of heat where temperature was recorded at 35 degree Celsius.<br/>Maharashtra government is making utmost effort to meet the demand of drinking water of the people for this. 1553 tankers have been engaged providing water to 1481 villages and 1049 hamlets from 27 districts of the state.<br/> In Uttar Pradesh, light rain in the eastern part failed to bring relief to people due to increased humidy. The temperature remained between 39 to 41 degrees at 5:30 this evening in most of the eastern and central districts. The maximum temperature in Agra remained at 43.8, Allahabad 43.5, Bareilly 42.7, Gorakhpur 41.9, Lucknow 43 and Varanasi recorded a maximum temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius. Gorakhpur received a light rainfall during the day but it brought no relief due to bright sunshine and hot winds. The met office has predicted dust storm or thunderstorm accompanied with squall in some areas including most of the eastern districts.<br/>It was another hot day for Delhiites today as the mercury remained above the 41-degree mark.
