Heat wave conditions prevail in several parts of the country

Heat wave conditions continue to prevail in several parts of the country with temperature touching 50 degree celsius. Several deaths have also been reported with mercury hovering 2 to 3 degrees above normal. AIR Correspondents report that heat wave conditions have added to the woes of the common man with power shortage and reports of scarcity of drinking water facility.In Uttar Pradesh two more deaths have been reported due to heat wave with mercury shooting up to 47 degrees. Met office says that heat wave will continue in some parts of the state.
In the hilly state of Uttarakhand apart from planes upper ridges are also experiencing higher temperature. It was 42 degree celsius at several places this morning.In Madhya Pradesh, mercury is on the rise with temperature hovering between 43 to 45 degree celsius. AIR Correspondent adds people are facing acute water shortage in some areas.In Jharkhand, the maxium temperature touched 50 degree at Dhakra yesterday. In the national capital, the minimum temperature today recorded was 29 degree celsius. Met office says that the heat wave condition will continue for a few days.
