Heat wave conditions continues in North India; NE states experience rain

Heat wave conditions continued to prevail at a few places in Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.<br/><br/>The national capital remained in the grip of a searing heat wave today with the maximum temperature again crossing the 45 degrees Celsius mark in various places of the city. According to Meterological office, the Palam observatory registered a maximum temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius. '<br/><br/>It has also indicated the possibility of rain and thunder storm towards Monday evening and night.<br/><br/>In Madhya Pradesh, several various of the state are still reeling under heat wave conditions.<br/><br/>AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that the thundershowers in some places have decreased temperatures marginally.<br/><br/>Sagar, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, Chambal and Bhopal divisions are still in the grip of severe heat wave conditions. Satna today recorded highest maximum temperature of 47 degrees.<br/><br/>Datia, Sheopur, Gwalior, Khajuraho and some other places registered maximum temperatures over 45 degrees.<br/><br/>The Met Department has predicted heat wave conditions in Gwalior, Chambal and Sagar divisions and some other places during the next 24 hours. It has said that temperatures will decrease in the coming days.<br/><br/>The entire Rajasthan is under the tight grip of heat wave conditions. Churu and Sriganganagar districts have today recorded maximum 49.2 degree Celsius temperature. More than 8 districts have recorded more than 46 degree Celsius temperature.<br/><br/>Although winds in western places of the state have decreased the intensity of the heat, 1-2 degree Celsius less temperatures were recorded today in border's district compare to yesterday.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Northeastern states experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall.<br/><br/>The weatherman has predicted that thunderstorm accompanied with squall is expected at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand tomorrow.
