The Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI has announced cash reward worth one crore rupees for each player of the Indian team. Cricket coach Gary Kirsten and other support staff will get 50 lakh rupees each as reward for their contribution, while the selectors will be given 25 lakh rupees each.Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today announced an award of two crore rupees for Indian cricket team captain M S Dhoni and one crore rupees each for four Delhi players after their historic victory in the World Cup. Ms Dikshit said Indian captain M S Dhoni will be awarded 2 crore rupees for his commendable performance. She also said one crore rupees will be given each to Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli and Ashish Nehra for winning the coveted World Cup. The Ministry of Railways has decided to give lifetime 1st AC Complementary Passes to the members of the winning Indian Cricket Team. According to an official press release the passes will be available to players along with one companion for unlimited free travel throughout the country. The release said, Union Minister of Railways Ms. Mamta Banerjee has congratulated the Indian Team for winning the coveted ICC World Cup 2011, in Mumbai.
