Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya releases Health & Wellness third party evaluation report

Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that Health and Wellness Centers will play a pivotal role in providing affordable and accessible healthcare for all. Releasing the findings of a third party assessment of Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness Centres report in 18 states, in New Delhi this evening, Dr Mandaviya said, government intends to provide best health care facilities to the person standing at the last mile. <br />''<br />''He said, the report will act as a guiding principle to plan better in the future. He highlighted that the Union government is coordinating with states to ensure last mile delivery through teleconsultation.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Dr V K Paul Member, Health, NITI Aayog congratulated the research teams for the assessment report and suggested that a governance structure should be established for daily monitoring and review of Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness Centres. He also highlighted the need to further train the human resources at the Health and Wellness Centres.<br />''<br />''According to the findings of  third party assessment report, the implementation of Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness Centres scheme is on track in most states with a clear roadmap for achieving targets set for December 2022. The client satisfaction with the services provided was much higher among those who received services from these Health Centres as compared to those who received services from non-Health and Wellness Centres. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">It said, overall, there has been an improvement in equity in access, despite existing constraints such as infrastructure availability and status of peripheral health facilities.</span>
