Health Dept appoints 468 doctors in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, with a view to provide adequate number of doctors in hospitals for better patient care service, the State Health Department on Friday appointed 468 doctors in different disciplines. The selection of these doctors has been made by the Public Service Commission on fast track basis to ensure full-filament of the commitment of the State Government to provide adequate manpower in hospitals .AIR Correspondent Yogesh Sharma reports that the categories of appointments included, 232 BDS doctors,14-B-Grade Specialists in Pediatrics, 23 B-Grade Specialists in Anesthesia, 7 B-Grade Specialists in Ophthalmology, 29 B-Grade Specialists in Medicine, 35 B-Grade Specialists in Surgery, 47 B-Grade Specialists in Gynae. & Obst, 5 B-Grade Specialists in Pathology, 2 B-Grade Specialists in ENT, 8 B-Grade Specialists in Radio Diagnosis, 53 Medical Officers in Ayurvedic, 11 Medical Officers in Homoeopathy, and 2 Medical Officers in Unani.
