<span style="color: #222222;">Health and Family Welfare Secretary Preeti Sudan has stressed the need of creating awareness among women at large about early detection of Breast Cancer.<br />'' <br />'' Speaking at a function in New Delhi today, she said, government is actively working on making diagnosis and treatment of cancer affordable. She said, screening of non-communicable diseases, including hypertension, diabetes and cancers of oral, breast and cervix are being done at 27 thousand health and wellness centres across the country.  <br />'' <br />'' The Secretary said, government has approved 20 tertiary care centres in its bid to strengthening medical infrastructure for Non-Communicable Diseases, NCDs.  She added that 18 State Cancer Institutes and one national institute reflect government's commitment towards providing affordable treatment for NCDs.<br />'' <br />'' Highlighting the importance of the self diagnosis and timely screening of the breast cancer, Ms Sudan said, breast cancer is treatable and no women should die of it. She said, there is an urgent need to spread the message as to how to do self-examination and conversation at every level and social media platforms will be quite instrumental in spreading the awareness message of self-diagnosis.</span><br />
