Heads may roll in the Delhi Police after three Pakistani terrorists escaped from its custody and are still at large. The three Pakistani nationals arrested in connection with blasts near the Red Fort nine years ago and due to be deported to their country on their completion of jail term escaped last Friday. The Union Home Ministry is awaiting a detailed report from all the agencies concerned before taking any action.

Commissioner of Delhi police Y S Dadwal said a probe is underway but noted it is only the government which will now clarify which agency is responsible. He said, a magisterial enquiry, set up by the Lieutenant Governor, will also make matters clear. Abdul Razzak, Mohammed Sadiq and Rafaqat Ali escaped while being escorted to a hospital for treatment by Meghalaya police personnel on deputation to the Delhi Police's Special Branch.
