The Head of the Barpeta Sattra Basishata Dev Sarma has refuted the allegation that RSS and BJP workers prevented Rahul Gandhi from entering the sattra premise. Talking to AIR Correspondent this evening, he said that nobody should indulged in politics with the Barpeta Satra , the seat of Vaishnative culture.<br/><br/>He said that elderly women devotees were gathered in front of the Kairtan Ghar to have a glimpse of Congress Vice President and other dignitaries and they have nothing to do with politics. Expressing dissatisfaction on terming devotees as RSS or BJP supporters , Mr. Sarma questioned if Sattra was opposed to the visit of Mr. Gandhi, how could he able to visit the Sattra in the evening that day ( on Saturday) before wrapping up his visit.
