In Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today expressed its displeasure at the pace of investigation by the CBI into the multi-crore NRHM scam. Justices Imtiyaz Murtuza and Ashwini Kumar observed that nothing much has been done in the last three months by the CBI to unearth the embezzlement of funds and murder of two government doctors. Earlier, the CBI submitted its investigation report before the court, in a sealed envelope.AIR Correspondent reports that representing the state government, Additional Advocate General RBS Yadav submitted documents related to grant of government sanction to prosecute 34 employees of the Health Department including at least 22 doctors. The bench later directed the SP of CBI to be present along with two other IOs on 12th September, the next date of hearing.
