HC to hear PIL in Taj corridor case on Jan 11th

In Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has fixed 11th of this month as the next date of hearing of Public Interest Litigations seeking prosecution of state Chief Minister Mayawati and her senior Cabinet Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui in Taj Corridor case. A division bench of the court comprising Justices Abdul Mateen and YK Sangal fixed the date after hearing arguments of Mayawati’s lawyer and senior BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports three separate PILs were filed in the court challenging CBI court's June, 2007, order by which the proceeding of the case were dropped against Mayawati and Siddiqui. The PIL has sought prosecution of Mayawati and Siddiqui in the Taj corridor case.
