The Himachal Pradesh High court today granted stay on arrest of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife in disproportionate assets case lodged by Central Bureau of Investigation. A Division bench of high court also ordered that CBI could continue investigation in the matter. <br/><br/>The court fixed next date of hearing on Nov 18. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh yesterday moved High court to seek relief from CBI case registered against him on September 23 followed by raids on 13 different premises in disproportionate asset case. <br/><br/>The Court said that CBI would continue the investigation in the matter however it could not arrest Chief Minister and his wife in the matter, If CBI would have require to arrest the duo in the future, the agency would first informed the court about the move. <br/><br/>Former Union Minister and senior counsel Kapil Sibbal pleaded the case of Mr. Singh here in the morning and the hearing last for more than half an hour. Kapil Sibbal press for the quashing of FIR lodged by CBI and staying arrest of Mr. Singh. Senior Advocate of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Ashok Kumar represented CBI and opposed the writ petition and plea to bar arrest of Chief Minister.
