Karnataka High Court has reserved its orders on an application filed by former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to quash the Lokayuktha report on Uppar Bhadra irrigation project. The case pertains to a complaint filed by Janata Dal(S) leader Y S V Datta on alleged financial irregularities while allotting tenders in Uppar Bhadra Project. The division bench consisting of Justice K L Manjunath and Justice H S Kempanna reserved the orders after the counsels completed their arguments on Tuesday.In his application Yeddyurappa had claimed that his name was unnecessarily dragged into the case and he was in no way involved in the alleged financial irregularities. He has requested the division bench to quash the FIR filed by the Lokayukta police in this regard. The Lokayukta court has summoned Yeddyurappa to appear before it in this case on the 27th of this month. In another development former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy filed anticipatory bail application in the Lokayuktha court on Tuesday in connection with charges made against him in the Lokayuktha report on illegal mining.
