HC rejects Jagan Reddy’s plea for exemption to appear before CBI

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has rejected YSR Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s petition seeking exemption from personally appearing before the CBI in connection with his assets case.The court has directed him to appear before the CBI on Friday as per the notices served by the investigating agency.Earlier in the day, Mr Reddy moved the petition in High Court requesting it to exempt him from personally appearing before CBI till June 15th as he is busy with campaigning for the upcoming bye-elections.In yet another decision the Andhra Pradesh High Court lifted the freeze on bank accounts of Jaganmohan Reddy's firms including televison channel.The court, however, imposed certain conditions on maintenance of accounts saying that all transactions are to be through cheques and no property should be sold until the case is completed.
