HC refuses to stay notice issued to Chhagan Bhujbal in land scam

Mumbai High Court had refused to stay the notice issued to NCP senior leader Chhagan Bhujbal by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, to return the land, which was given to him for gardening adjoining to Mumbai Educational Trust in Bandra. Trust had urged the Court to stay the notice.<br/><br/>Along with Bhujbal, 36 persons have been served the notice to return open land as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had ruled that open land cannot be given for such purposes. The Mumbai Education Trust, run by Chhagan Bhujbal's family, has approached the Bombay high court, challenging the BMC decision to take back the open ground that it had been allotted for maintenance on adoption basis.
