HC forms committee to probe illegal mining in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad High Court has constituted a five member committee to investigate incidents of illegal mining in different districts of the state. Lucknow bench of the court passed this order while hearing a writ petition filed on this issue.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>The court has directed that the committee would be chaired by Deputy General Secretary of Geological Survey of India and Central Government officers from Indian Bureau of Mines and Ministry of Environmental Forests will be included and officers from Uttar Pradesh Archaeological and Mining and Uttar Pradesh Ground Water Level Department will be other members of the committee.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>The court has directed the committee to submit the report of investigation in every two months. The Court has fixed 7th of next month for further hearing of the case.
