The Madras High Court today extended the time limit to November 9, for switching over from analogue to digital mode. In a writ petition filed by the Chennai Metro Cable operators Association, the Madras High Court accepted the plea that not enough set top boxes were available in the city.
The interim order was passed by Justice N.Paul Vasanthakumar. The Judge posted the matter to November 9 to get the State Government’s reply.
The deadline for implementation of Digital Addressable system had earlier been fixed as October 31.
