The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu Government to seek clarification on the ePass system to visit hill resort towns. The Centre in its August 29 notification on the unlock measures dispensed with the ePass system for travel across the country.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''However, the Tamil Nadu Government asked the visitors to the hill resort towns like Ooty, Yercaud and Kodaikanal to apply and get the ePass in advance.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''A case has been filed against the system. During the hearing, the government said, the restrictions under the disaster management act are aimed at ensuring the safety of the visitors and the inhabitants of the hilly regions as the medical facilities there are limited.&nbsp;<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The court after hearing both the sides asked the state government to seek clarifications from the centre on the matter in three days and publicise them in the media. The case has been posted for further hearing on October 28th.</span><br />
