The Bombay High Court today directed Maharashtra government to file an affidavit by 25th of this month in connection with indefinite strike by teachers of various universities in the state. The court asked the state governement to enumerate steps it had taken against the teachers who had resorted to an indefinite strike.

It also directed the state to mention in the affidavit the status of their demands and measures to evaluate answer sheets of graduate and post graduate courses.

The direction was given by a bench of vacation court
in response to a petition seeking action against the striking college and university teachers.
