The Karnataka High Court has begun hearing of the bail plea of former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in corruption cases against him.

Yeddyurappa was shifted to Bangalore Central jail from the Victoria Hospital on Wednesday.

Earlier he was undergoing treatment for backache and chest pain at the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology since Sunday.

Yeddyurappa who is under judicial custody was denied bail in two cases filed in connection with alleged irregularities in land de-notification and was sent to prison last Saturday.
