The Allahabad High court has banned the toll collection from commuters using Noida Delhi Expressway, DND, with immediate effect. In its order, the bench of Justice Sunita Agarwal and Justice Arun Tandon, said that the contract between Noida Authority and the private company engaged in toll collection is illegal, therefore it has no authority to collect the toll tax from the commuters. <br/><br/>The bench gave the verdict today while deciding a PIL filed in the matter in which it was alleged that the Noida authority has collected more revenue as toll tax than the cost of DND.
