In the illegal telephone exchange case, the Madras High Court has issued notice to ex-telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran to file his reply before August 4 in response to a CBI application seeking cancellation of his interim anticipatory bail. Mr Maran sought anticipatory bail to avoid arrest by the CBI which asked him to appear for inquiry into the case on 1st of July. <br/><br/>Justice R. Subbiah granted him 6 weeks interim anticipatory bail on 30th of last month on condition that he will extend full cooperation to the apex investigation agency during the inquiry in New Delhi. However, the CBI approached the High Court on 16th of this month seeking cancellation of his interim bail on charges of non-cooperation by Mr Maran. After hearing both sides today, Justice R. Subbiah posted the case for hearing to 4th of next month.
