The Bombay High Court on Monday directed the Maharashtra government to explain why the investigations of September 2006 Malegaon blast were transferred to CBI. The court has asked the state government to file an affidavit in this regard within two weeks. It said that the reason for transfer of investigations after the chargesheet was filed is needed to be examined.<br/><br/>The court's order came in view of a petition filed by three accused in the case. The petition seeks to probe into the manner in which the investigations were conducted in the case. <br/> <br/>
