The Delhi High Court today quashed a trial court order directing CBI to return documents seized during raids at office of staff of Delhi Chief Minister on December last year. A bench of Justice P S Teji, while allowing the appeal of CBI, said that the trial court exceeded in its jurisdiction and the order had self-contradictory reasons.<br/><br/>The Delhi government had submitted before the high court that the agency has picked up documents which have nothing to do with the investigation and it is hampering the government's functioning. The CBI on February 1 countered the Delhi govt's contention at the high court saying that the seized documents do not paralyse the functioning of the AAP government, as alleged.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, BJP has said Delhi High Court's decision to quash a trial court order over CBI raids against Arvind Kejriwal's Principal Secretary, has exposed the Chief Minister. Welcoming the judgment, the party demanded Mr. Kejriwal's resignation and apology from him for accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misusing the CBI in the matter. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, senior party leader Prakash Javadekar said Mr. Kejriwal was perturbed over the raids and made baseless allegations to protect the corrupt. He termed Aam Aadmi Party government as most corrupt and alleged that in the short span of time its several MLAs are in the gripe of law.
