The Madras High Court has agreed to hear a CBI plea seeking cancellation of interim anticipatory bail to former Union Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran on 23rd of this month in the illegal telephone exchange case. Justice R. Subbiah had earlier granted 6 weeks interim anticipatory bail on condition that he should fully cooperate with the CBI in the inquiry. However, the investigating agency has alleged in its petition filed in the High Court on Friday that Mr Dayanidhi Maran has failed to cooperate fully during the inquiry. CBI counsel Chandrasekhar appeared before Justice R. Subbiah today insisting an early hearing in the case, and the court asked the registry to list the case for hearing on 23rd this month.
