David Warner pulverized a listless Chennai Super Kings attack into submission with some breathtaking strokeplay as Sunrisers Hyderabad won by six wickets to keep slim chances of qualifying for the IPL play-offs alive. Chasing a target of 186, Sunrisers reached home in 19.4 overs with David Warner scoring 90 off just 45 balls and an equally effective unbeaten 64 off 49 balls from Shikhar Dhawan. With this win, Sunrisers took their points tally to 12 with a match still left. However, if Rajasthan Royals win their next match and take their points tally to 16, Sunrisers' last game will be rendered inconsequential. Chennai Super Kings have already qualified for the play-offs. Meanwhile, in an earlier IPL Cricket match at Kolkata yesterday, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengs Bangalore by 30 runs and booked the IPL Play Off berth collecting 16 points from 13 games. At the same time, they shut the doors on Royal Challengers who have only 10 points from the same number of matches. Sent in to bat, Kolkata scored 195 for four and then restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to 165 for five in the stipulated overs. In today's fixtures, Mumbai Indians will face Delhi Daredevils at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai at 4 p.m while Kings Eleven Punjab will clash with Rajasthan Royals at Mohali at 8 p.m.
