The Indian women have finished Seventh in the Hawkes's Bay Cup Hockey tournament. In the classification match for the seventh/eighth positions at Hastings in New Zealand today, the Indian team beat Japan 3-2. India had also beaten Japan to win the bronze at the 2014 Asian Games.
