BNP Chairperson and Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia on Sunday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to India was a failure.

Addressing a press conference in Dhaka on Sunday, she claimed that Prime minister Sheikh Hasina had brought nothing back from her recently-concluded tour of India and and alleged that the agreements signed during the visit had amounted to "a sell-out" of Bangladesh's interests.

She also criticised the Bangladesh Prime Minister for showing what she claimed indifference to the Tipaimukh dam issue. Referring to Sheikh Hasina’s comment asking the BNP to join parliament to discuss the outcome of the visit, Khaleda said there is no scope of discussing the matter in parliament since the deals are already signed.
