Haryana Transport Department has decided to install Global Positioning System (GPS) in all buses of the State Roadways for their monitoring. A proposal to this effect involving an investment of 9.71 crore rupees had been submitted to the Centre for its assistance.Disclosing this at Chandigarh on Sunday, a spokesman of State Transport Department said that the Government of India has sanctioned 8.50 crore rupees as Central assistance under the scheme and out of this amount, first installment 4.25 crore rupees had already been released.
