Haryana to set up intl Airport between Madina and Julana

Haryana Government has planned to set up an international Airport between Madina and Julana at a distance of about 90 kms and 105 kms from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. It was disclosed by Haryana Industries Minister, Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala at Jind today. He said that the efforts are on to idenfy land measuring about 1500 to 2000 acres at the proposed site. The Industries Minister said that the proposed international airport would give boost to the state economy as it is likely to generate revenue to the tune of about 10 million dollars. He said that Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda has taken a number of initiatives to put the state on fast track of development and this effort was another major step in that direction.
