Haryana Government has sanctioned grant-in-aid amounting to over 40 lakh rupees to provide financial assistance to the Gurukuls and Sanskrit Pathshalas in the State. Stating this in chandigarh yesterday, State Education Minister, Geeta Bhukkal said the grants would be given on the basis of strength of students to Gurukuls and Sanskrit Pathshalas which are in existence for 10 years or more. The Gurukuls with students’ strength of 80 to 100 would get financial assistance of 1.50 lakh rupees, with students strength from 101 to 200 would get financial assistance of 2.50 lakh rupees and those with student’s strength of more than 200 would get grant-in-aid of 3.50 lakh rupees.
