Haryana to prepare Standard Operating Procedure for use of drones

<span style="color: #222222;">Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal has directed to constitute a four-member committee under the chairmanship of Director General (CID) to prepare Standard Operating Procedure for use of drones under Drone Policy in the state.<br />''<br />''The Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Ambala and a representative from Legal Remembrance Department will be the members of this committee. The committee will submit its report in 15 days. The Chief Secretary said, Apart from the SOP, the committee will also suggest alternatives to further strengthen the policy.<br />''<br />''Mr Kaushal said, to maintain peace and security in the state, there should be no unauthorized use of drones in the state. He also directed that the Police personnel should be trained for the use of drones, drone surveillance and prevention of drone infiltration. The Central Government has approved the request of the State Government regarding imparting drone training to the Police personnel.</span><br />
