Haryana Government will open modern shops of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in selected towns. This decision was taken in a cabinet meeting held at Chandigarh yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal. The cabinet has also approved the excise policy for the year 2015-16.Haryana Excise and Taxation Minister Captain Abhimanyu said under the new policy the allotment of vends shall be made through E-Tendering. The Excise and Taxation Department will also hire some locations for setting up of liquor vends having high revenue potential in Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) areas and Haryana tourist complexes for which the rent will be paid by the Department.
