The Haryana Government has approved the proposal of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd. for the establishment of an additional Unit of 660MW with Super Critical Technology at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Station at Yamuna Nagar.<br/>Speaking after chairing the 75th meeting of the Board of Directors of HPGCL , Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary Power Mr Madhusudhan Prasad said that this will be the first super critical unit to be established by HPGCL at a cost of about Rs. 3,300 crore. <br/>He added that the decision to establish the first super critical unit of HPGCL was taken because of higher efficiency of super critical unit and their environment friendly standards of emission. <br/>
