Haryana government has reduced the prescribed fee for obtaining information under the RTI Act from Rs 10 to Rs 2 per page.<br/><br/>Announcing this at Chandigarh Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the reduced rates would become effective from January 1 next year.<br/><br/>He said the decision has been taken for the convenience of general public and to promote transparency and accountability in the government functioning.<br/>
