Haryana, Punjab ban public celebrations on Holi

<span style="color: #222222;">Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that in view of COVID-19, celebrating Holi in public places in the state will be banned.<br />'' <br />'' He said that this festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the country, but due to COVID-19 people should celebrate this festival at their homes. He said,  on this festival of colours, people apply colour and come in contact with each other, which increases the risk of spreading the disease.<br />''<br />''Earlier Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh while ordering statewide restrictions in view of a spike in covid positive cases had banned the Holi Milan gatherings. The clubs, hotels, restaurants etc. will also not allow any ceremonial gatherings for Holi in Punjab.  The residents have been informed to celebrate the Holi festival at home while following appropriate covid protocol.</span>
