He said,  on this festival of colours, people apply colour and come in contact with each other, which increases the risk of spreading the disease.<br />''<br />''Earlier Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh while ordering statewide restrictions in view of a spike in covid positive cases had banned the Holi Milan gatherings. The clubs, hotels, restaurants etc. will also not allow any ceremonial gatherings for Holi in Punjab.  The residents have been informed to celebrate the Holi festival at home while following appropriate covid protocol.</span>
