In Haryana, the police raided BJP office at Ambala Cantt to arrest BJP MLA Anil Vij on Friday who later surrendered in the Sadar Police Station. The BJP workers led by the MLA had launched an agitation, after a sarpanch was allegedly assaulted by traffic police on November 22. On Thursday, they blocked the Ambala-Jagadari road for four hours demanding action against the police personnel. The BJP agitation escalated when protesters burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in front of the Sadar Police Station on Wednesday. A case had been registered against the MLA and his supporters for rioting, blocking traffic and deterring public servant from performing the duties.<br/>
