Haryana`s popular 19th Mango Mela at Pinjore Gardens near Panchkula will come to an end today. Haryana`s Governor Jagannath Pahadia will be the chief Guest and award prizes to the winners of competitions during closing ceremony today.<br/><br/>Haryana Chief Secretary, Mrs Urvashi Gulati yesterday after inaugurating the Mela suggested to invite mango exporters for business meets to encourage the mango growers to adopt new technologies to increase production of mangoes. She said that only varieties with long shelf life have potential for export and the farmers could be motivated to grow varieties with long shelf life. <br/><br/>She said that the Mango Mela organized every year by Haryana Tourism in collaboration with Horticulture Department of the State has become very popular. She informed that 3060 entries of 401 varieties of mangoes have been received at the Mango Mela. As many as 326 entries of mango products have also been received.<br/><br/>In the Mango Mela a colourful cultural programme was also organized by Haryana Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department. The programme included folk dances, Punjabi Mirza and Sufi songs by Prof. Hem Raj.
