Haryana today successfully installed the first ever Early Earthquake Warning and Security System (onsite) in the country as a pilot project at New Secretariat in Chandigarh. This device can save thousands of lives and reduce the losses in case of severe earthquake.<br/><br/>Early Earthquake and Warning System (Onsite) is a joint venture of Terra Techcom Pvt. Ltd and an Electronics company of Germany which was launched early this year at New Delhi. On the direction of Haryana Government, this device was successfully tested on March 10, 2016 at CSIR- Structural Engineering and Research Centre, Chennai.
