Haryana Government has urged the centre to give early approval for construction of dams at Diwanwala and Dangrana on Ghaghar river to check flash floods in the state. <br/><br/>The issue was raised by senior administrative secretaries of the state government with the high powered Inter-Ministerial Central team led by Mr. R.P. Nath, Joint Secretary, Home Affairs, which visited flood-affected areas of Kurukshetra district on Monday. <br/><br/>They also urged the Centre to raise the norms and compensation rates for the flood affected people and areas. The state has demanded liberal relief from the Centre so that more relief could be given to the affected people.
