Haryana Govt to revisit cases against former DGP SPS Rathore

Haryana government has decided to revisit the cases against former DGP S P S Rathore for his involvement in Ruchika's molestation and harassment to her family. The cases will be reopened following legal consultations. An announcement to this effect was made by Haryana Chief Minsiter Bhupinder Singh Hooda while talking to reporters in New Delhi on saturaday. He also instructed senior police officials to provide full security to Ruchika's family. CPIM leader Brinda Karat met the Chief minister earlier and demanded stern action against Rathore.<br/><br/>The announcement comes close on the heels of Home Ministry slapping show cause notices to Rathore on asking why his police medal should not be taken away and pension reduced for allegedly abusing power. Home Secretary G K Pillai said that the matter will be placed before an awards committee which will meet on the 4th of next month. He also said that the steps will be taken to issue show cause notice to Rathore on the matter.<br/>
